About the Resource Provider
School of Leadership Afghanistan (SOLA) was founded by Shabana Basij-Rasikh, an Afghan woman dedicated to empowering Afghan girls through education. Following the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan in August 2021, SOLA relocated its campus to Rwanda to ensure the safety and continuity of its students' education. This relocation marked a significant transition, making SOLA the first and only Afghan girls' boarding school to operate outside Afghanistan. Despite these challenges, SOLA remains committed to its mission, providing quality education and leadership training to Afghan schoolgirls, and fostering a new generation of empowered female leaders.
