About the Resource Provider
The United World Colleges (UWC) is a global educational organization with a mission to make education a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. UWC offers a two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) to students from diverse backgrounds, fostering an environment where students learn to appreciate and value different perspectives.

Who Can Benefit From?
Afghan citizens currently living in Afghanistan or Afghan refugees living in other countries.
• Applicants must be born between August 1, 2006, and August 15, 2010.
• Applicants must possess a valid Tazkira and Afghan passport.
• Applicants with a good understanding of the English language, as the entire application process and program are conducted in English.
Note: Permanent residents or citizens of countries other than Afghanistan are not eligible to apply through the UWC National Committee of Afghanistan.
Application and Procedure
The entire application process is conducted online, and interested applicants can apply from any location.
• The application deadline is Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Kabul time. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
• Applicants must apply through the UWC National Committee of Afghanistan by registering and creating an eligibility profile on the UWC website. Choose “UWC National Committee” as the application route.
• The selection process is based on criteria such as intellectual curiosity, social competence, resilience, personal responsibility, and academic potential.
Important Notes:
• Successful candidates will be responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, including visas.
• Parental consent is required for applications to be considered.
• Applicants are advised to beware of scammers posing as members of the UWC National Committee of Afghanistan, as the committee operates remotely and can only be reached by email.
