WHO WE ARE

Our Mission

Our mission is to advocate for and elevate Afghan women by raising awareness of their achievements and challenges, dismantling stereotypes, and providing essential support to empower their success.

Our Vision

We envision a future where every Afghan woman is recognized, respected, and empowered to achieve her full potential, becoming a catalyst for positive change in creating prosperous and equitable communities.

Our Co-founder's Story

Nila Ibrahimi is a 17-year-old Afghan activist dedicated to advocating for women's rights. At just 13, she challenged a local ban preventing schoolgirls over the age of 12 from singing in public, as part of the impactful "IAmMySong" campaign. This initiative successfully led to the reversal of the ban by Kabul’s education directorate. Nila has since brought her message to global audiences, speaking at significant events like the Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy in 2023 and the TED Conference in Vancouver in 2024. Her efforts have been recognized internationally, including a feature in CNN’s ‘As Equal’ series in 2024.

WHAT WE DO

Advocacy

We are deeply committed to shedding light on the hardships endured by Afghan girls and women under the Taliban, particularly their right to education. Our advocacy extends beyond speaking engagements, networking, and collaborations, as we actively seek to support and empower them through various initiatives.

Storytelling

We believe in the power of storytelling and the importance of sharing the remarkable life experiences of Afghan women. Through profiles, interviews, podcasts, and an open platform, we aim to amplify their voices globally for greater recognition and understanding.

Educational Resources

We have a user-friendly platform where Afghan girls and women can find educational opportunities like scholarships and online courses, all in one place. We carefully research and share resources to ensure they're credible and beneficial, aiming to protect our users from scams and fraudulent opportunities.

Webinars & Workshops

We conduct research on crucial topics like mental health and applying for scholarships abroad, aiming to benefit Afghan women and girls both within and outside the country. Through webinars and workshops featuring experienced guest speakers and facilitators, we provide valuable insights and guidance on these topics.
